Korean Taekwondo Spectacular 2005

She walks in beauty, like the night
Of cloudless climes and starry skies;
And all that's best of dark and bright
Meet in her aspect and her eyes:
Thus mellow'd to taht tender light
Which heaven to gaudy days denies. -George Gordon, Lord Byron, Hebrew Melodies "She Walks in Beauty"

Wednesday’s training was kinda crazy with the extra jumping we did for target training… Genevieve joined Sean and I for double training at the CC… I wonder if it will be come a regular thing… hrmmm… SIM training that day was pretty tough and I kept wondering why the hack I was so tired just from a few exercises…
-faints-
I guess I was not the only one who was zonked out by training at the SIM grounds… add that to the senior-focused session at the CC and you would get 3 very whacked out people… I won’t say whom. I think you know.
-hysterical laughter-

Mr Seet dropped a bomb on us on Thursday at the beginning of the macro lecture.
We now have to hand in an assignment on the coming Thursday before the official start of the lecture.
Add that to:
POA assignment (due Tuesday)
POA tests (coming Tuesday and the Tuesday after that)
OT test
OT assignments
-starts pulling hair out-

I planned to see my Granny on Friday, but when Friday rolled around, I did not think I would be able to go and see her… Praise God!
I managed to go in the end! Yay!
Sadly, I ended up taking painkillers at the end of the day… don worry, it had nothing to do with visiting my Grandma. :D

Saturday morning was spent at work after which I came home and started preparing for the evening’s activity:
KOREAN TAEKWONDO SPECTACULAR 2005
Performance by the Korean National Demonstration Team.
^-^

I would have to say that the whole evening can be summed up by screaming, on the top of my lungs: SHIIIOOOK!!!! :D

I met up with Alfred and we made our way to Toa Payoh, buying dinner en route to the stadium.
Lots of my friends turned up at the event.
From my club members, CC mates, school friends to children from my work place!
Woohooo~
What a crowd it was! :)
We ate our dinner in the stadium while waiting for the rest to turn up. I had 13 seats to book for them in total.
I am not the leader-founder of the choop seat society for nothing ok!
Buah hahahaha…
I would have stayed and hung out with my peeps, but I had some duties to fulfill.

On Wednesday, during training, Mr. Chow asked me to dress a bit more formal to help out with some ushering.
What I did not know was that I was going to usher the V.I.Ps.
Namely the Korean Ambassador to Singapore.
Had I known that I was going to be doing that, I would have at least put on some makeup or worn something a little more fancy… heh… I wore an ensemble of black clothes. Shoes, blouse, skirt and even earrings – all black… haha… mah chum I should have gone to an All Blacks match instead eh?
-psychotic laughter-
I also played a part in the prize presentation segment.
The cool thing was that I got to make friends with the helpers and rub shoulders with various S.T.F. personnel. So fun!
-bounces all over the house-
Watching the demonstration live is tons better than watching it on television.
That is for certain.
Chop plus stamp and money back guarantee.
The breaking of boards and smashing of apples… hwah… the pattern and kicking synchronization, beautiful music and wondering techniques… blend together to produce the perfect show. *sigh~*
Because of my duties, I got to see the show from ground level, front seat xia!
Not only that, at one point, they broke the boards so close to me and my friends that I managed to take a piece and subsequently get the demo team people to sign on it. :D
Went home with after taking pictures, making some plans with my new friends and getting the signatures. Woohoo~

Definitely a once in a life time experience.
At least until the next time Korea sends their national demo team over again... heh … but then hor, considering the fact that the last time they came was in 1989, I think I will be playing a different role for their next visit.
-loud hysterical laughter-
Can’t wait to get my hands on the pictures man!
Qian Bei was on hand to take pictures of the various parts of the event. He is after all a professional photographer. Heehee… I guess I shall have to ask him and sir for the pictures.
-evil grinz-

Today was another photo session for the people at PLKCC.
Qian Bei brought all his equipment to the CC and took pictures of us with our trophies and medals. :D
Woohooo~
I even got to wear special attire for the photo taking session. ;)
Soong ah… can’t wait to get my black belt xia… the sickening thing is that I ordered my black gi from Korea 2 months ago and up till now, it has not arrived. Apparently, it’s coming by boat… slow boat from Korea. It had better be worth the wait xia… and don’t get me started with the difference between Sir going to Korea and the order by mail… x.xlll
Anyway, it was fun to take pictures and train in that particular attire… *swoon* heh…
Now, I wait for tomorrow’s training… need ta get ma fix man~
-bounces round the house again-

Joshy kor: “sharon>dun worry...things will be settled..haha ur pc wun b so pesky all the time”
I sure hope so … if not… there will be hell to pay… and the computer will wish it was never made…
-loud evil laughter + pinky finger-

Ok… time to start studying… argh… did I just say that?

Big huge hugs all round!
^-^
